DINAS, Zamboanga del Sur/ Iligan City (March 23, 2019) - Joint PNP personnel of Dinas MPS, Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Intel Branch, Regional Intelligence Unit 10, NBI and Iligan City Police Station (ICPS- 4) conducted police operation (Service of Arrest Warrant) at the outside premises of Iligan City National High School, Roxas Avenue Extension, Mahayahay, Iligan City at about 12:20 AM, March 22, 2019.
The operation was resulted to the arrest of Simplicio Malalis Y Malinao, 54 years old, married, security guard by occupation, and a resident of Oxford Celdran Village, Tubod, Iligan City. Accordingly, the accused was also an escapee of Pitogo Municipal Jail, Pitogo, Zamboanga del Sur on July 2001.
The accused was arrested by Virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the Crime of Frustrated Murder, docketed under Criminal Case No. 03-032, issued by Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, Branch 29, San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur with bail bond fixed at Two Hundred Thousand Pesos (Php200,000.00).
Subject person is now temporarily detained at Dinas MPS detention cell while waiting for commitment order from the court.
