Gun for Hire Personality Killed in Police Operation

DINAS, Zamboanga del Sur (Jan/ 14, 2019) - Combined police elements of 902nd Manoeuvring Company of RMFB9, Regional Intelligence Division 9 and Zamboanga Del Sur PPO-Intel Branch arrested the Gun for Hire suspect during the conduct of counter strike and/or Stop-and-Frisk operation at Purok Saging, Barangay Don Jose, Dinas Municipality, Zamboanga Del Sur at around 9:35 AM of January 13, 2019.

PCSUPT Emmanuel Luis D Licup, PRO9 Regional Director said that the operation was resulted to the neutralization of a gun for hire personality after the latter and his unidentified associate opted to engage the operatives in a brief gunfight.

PCSUPT Licup identified the fatalities as Jun Delos Reyes Y Estimo Aka Tabilong, 32 years old, married and a resident of Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur.

He sustained 3 gunshot wounds, 2 in right chest and 1 in the abdomen. The unidentified associate/cohort of the above-named neutralized subject who also shot at the operatives was able to escape towards Barangay Legarda uno, Dinas, Zamboanga del Sur. The responding elements conducted hot pursuit of the escaping suspect.

Recovered evidence are one (1) short Cal 45 Pistol with one(1) Magazine inserted and live ammunition, three (3) cal 45 fired cartridge and one(1) Caliber 38 Pistol with four (4) live ammunition and two (2) cal 38 fired cartridge inside.

The unidentified associate/cohort of the above-named neutralized subject who also shot at the operatives was able to escape towards Barangay Legarda, Dinas, Zamboanga Del Sur. He is currently pursued by Team 2 of 902nd MC responding elements. (By JONG CADION with PRO9 PIO PR)

1 person Died in Shooting Incident

DINAS, Zamboanga Del Sur (Jan. 12, 2019) – One person was killed in Shooting incident transpired at Purok Santol, Sitio Cogon, Brgy. Sumpotan, Dinas, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 8:30 PM of January 10, 2019.

PCSUPT Emmanuel Licup, PRO9 Regional Director identified the victims as Almando Villapiňa, 65 years old, married, male, farmer by occupation a residents of Purok Santol, Sitio Cogon, Brgy. Sumpotan, Dinas, Zamboanga Del Sur and one Nicolasa Villacora 86 years old, female, married, farmer, a resident of same placed aforementioned.

They were shot to death by unidentified perpetrator. Initial investigation conducted disclosed, that at about 7:30 PM of January 10, 2019, the two victims were shot to death by unidentified perpetrator hitting Almando at the lower portion of his right arm with several stabbed wound on his body, while Nicolasa was also hit at her right leg with big cut on her neck that resulted to their untimely death.

Further Investigation revealed that several hours had passed before the witness discovered the dead body of the two victims and immediately informed the barangay officials for the incident.

A caliber pistol 45 was used by the suspect/s based on the evidence found at the crime scene. That after the incident, the suspect/s fled to Barangay Baha Dimataling Zamboanga del Sur.

PNP personnel of Dimataling MPS conducted follow-up and pursuit of the suspect/s. Evidence found were two (2) live ammunition and three (3) empty shells of Caliber 45 pistol. Motive of the incident is still to be determined. (By JONG CADION with PRO9-PIO PR and photos)
